BOUWLAND FARM

Bouwland Winery is the first ever South African winery which is owned and run by the farm workers, who through an exciting empowerment project bought the majority of the shares in the business.  Here they have come together to ensure a future for themselves and their descendants. 

Part of this historical black empowerment move is that South Africa’s top winemaker Beyers Truter, known as Mister Pinotage, has remained in charge of the winemaking process.
