LANDSKROON

Landskroon was established in 1692 and is situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands.  The vineyard comprises approximately 275 ha.and is owned by the families of of brothers Paul and Hugo de Villiers, direct descendants of the French Huguenots who settled at the Cape during the late 17th Century.  Winemaker is Paul de Villiers Jr. who was nominated by Diners Club South Africa as the winner of their Wine Maker of the Year Award for the year  2000.

  A fresh fruity off-dry wine, lovely floral,  ideal for any summer barbecue

Cinsaut 100% Cinsaut, no oak maturation.
  Ageing potential : max. 5 years
  Perfect to accompany light meals

Cinsaut/Shiraz Blend of 45% Cinsaut , 40% Shiraz, less than 15% cabernet sauvignon and Touriga Nacional, Innerstave French Oak.
  Ageing potential : max. 5 years
  Very pleasant and easy drinking red wine

Pinotage 100%  pinotage, aged during 13 months on  French oak (12% new, rest second and third fill).
  Ageing potential : min. 5 years
  Vibrant and appealing  pinotage, ideal to accompany any game dishes.

Cabernet Sauvignon 100%  cabernet sauvignon, aged during 12 months on French oak (15% new, rest second, third and fourth fill).

Shiraz 100% shiraz, aged during 12 months on American oak barrels (2nd and 3th fill).

  Ageing potential : min. 10 years
  Ideal as aperitif or to accompany any ice desserts

Ruby Tinta Barocca, Tinto Roriz, Souzao and Touriga Nacionale (44months maturation on old barrels)
  Ageing potential : min. 10 years
  Serve on its own or with matured cheese and fresh nuts after dinner.
